I have a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and describe myself as a pluralistic integrative therapist. The pluralistic approach to therapy recognises that every person needs different things from therapy at different times and there is no one ‘right’ way to work towards your goals. As an integrative therapist, I integrate techniques from a range of several types of therapy to find a mix that works for you.

In addition to being adaptable to your unique needs, I aim to be warm and understanding, non-judgemental, and focused on building a strong relationship with you as the basis of therapy. I work with clients from all backgrounds, and especially welcome individuals from marginalised gender and sexuality groups as well as people with diverse relationship styles. I especially welcome people with known or suspected neurodiversity.

Working in a trauma-informed way, I can help you understand how your past impacts on your present, including family issues and past relationships, sexual abuse and assault, domestic abuse and substance misuse. When life events such as job loss, divorce, bereavement, and other major life changes happen, I can support you through processing the feelings that naturally arise as you go through these changes. I have worked with people who have experienced depression, anxiety, substance misuse, self-harm and suicidal thoughts as well as supporting people to improve self-esteem, confidence and sense of self-worth.

I hold Advanced Accreditation on the Pink Therapy register and registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
